Nourishing Futures: Semeena’s School Meals Fundraiser
Semeena Khan
My Story
In 2025 my incredible family, friends, communities and followers helped me raise an amazing £10,000 for Charity Right. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. That generosity became even more meaningful during my recent trip to Pakistan in November 2025, when I had the chance to see firsthand the impact Charity Right is making.
I visited two of the schools in rural Faisalabad where Charity Right provides daily school meals, working closely with their team to arrange the visits. I am so grateful I was able to go. The experience moved me in a way I'll never forget. I handed out food and milk to every child. Seeing their faces light up was truly heartwarming. It was also clear that for many of them this was likely the only nutritious meal they would receive that day. Some children quietly saved their milk cartons to take home so their families could make tea in the evening. That simple act said everything.
In one of the schools the children held my hand, hugged me and walked me all the way to the gate because they did not want me to leave. I will never forget that moment. It reminded me why this work matters so much and why I feel compelled to fundraise again.
In 2026, I will be taking on three marathons and climbing two iconic peaks: Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest freestanding mountain, and Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa. I am dedicating every mile and every step to the children who rely on Charity Right for the meals that keep them healthy and in school.
Charity Right provides regular meals to children in forgotten and underserved communities around the world, including Palestine. These meals keep them healthy, focused and able to stay in school, giving them the foundation for a brighter future. No child should ever have to choose between food and an education.
You’re not just feeding a child for a day. You’re giving them the strength to learn, grow and thrive.
All donations are zakat eligible.
